Plans for the Fall
The best laid plans of mice and men…
We had a prophecy from our pastor yesterday that got me excited… “change is coming, but its not coming how you expect it”
I don’t know why that made me excited. I’ve been planning a lot… books, blogs, businesses, seminars… usually I’m not so quick to say “Here God, take them all away.” I’m just being honest here. This is my blog to rant.
Usually it’s been a fight until I give up and He gives me a new way to look at things. Today I’m saying “Take it all, I don’t want to have anything you don’t want me to have.”
Even though He’s connected me with amazing people that can do the things I can’t to do the things I want, I don’t really own anything that I’m doing now to care if it doesn’t get done they way I’ve planned it.
Does that make sense? I think it does to me.
I don’t know what the surprise is going to be, but I’m ready for it. Bring it on. In the meantime, I’ll carry on doing what I have peace about doing.
We’re teaching “Ministering with Expectancy” in the fall. We’ve been given the go ahead to start a Saturday night service in October. I know I need to finish “How to Hope at the End of the Rope” And I’m putting together what I’ve written over the past 5 years into blog posts to write on 5 blogs for the rest of 2009. Here’s the details for that. I’m starting the week of Sept 14.
